Dependent Healthcare Reimbursement

Over the summer, GEO signed a Memorandum of Agreement with University Administration to resolve some of the issues around changes to graduate students healthcare plans. One of the things the University agreed to was that "represented graduate assistants who elect dependent coverage shall receive the University’s contribution to the cost of the dependent premium no later than thirty (30) calendar days after the end of the enrollment period."

Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement, graduate assistants are entitled to the University reimbursing 40% of the cost of the premium for the healthcare coverage of 1 dependent.
